MNOP+ presents Nymphs, Spinners, & Witches
Reed returns to MN Opera for Nymphs, Spinners, & Witches: An Evening with the MN Opera Chorus. This concert presentation celebrates ensembles and scenes featuring only treble voices. Repertoire includes selections by Massenet, Verdi, Wagner, Britten, and more! Reed will have a featured role as Female Chorus in the spinning wheel quartet from Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia.

Simply Overdressed
Reed performs as a guest artist with the Overdressed Duo. This concert features beloved arias and duets from some of the most famous operas and musicals to grace the stage including La bohème, Les contes d’Hoffman, Phantom of the Opera, Hänsel und Gretel, and Wicked.
This performance is free to the public and takes place at Linden Hills Park, located at 3100 W 43rd St, Minneapolis, MN.

The Rake’s Progress
Based on a series of artworks from the 18th century, Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress follows the decline of Tom Rakewell, whose unknowing encounter with the devil transforms him from an innocent, lazy farm boy to living the high life in London before ending up in the depths of the infamous Bedlam asylum. In the end, only love can save an irredeemable soul. Follow Reed through London and Bedlam (or Brainerd) as part of the soprano chorus with Lake’s Area Music Festival.

Vivaldi’s Gloria in Concert
Reed performs Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria with the Wayzata Community Church Chancel Choir during a service. Reed is a featured soloist, performing “Laudamus te”, “Domine Deus, Agnus Dei”, and “Qui sedes ad dexteram Patris”.
Rutter’s Requiem in Concert
Reed performs as the soprano soloist with the Wayzata Community Church Chancel Choir during their presentation of John Rutter’s stirring Requiem in a service of remembrance on All Saint’s Day. Prayers and hymns will help to create a meditative time of remembrance and thankfulness.

Summer Solstice at Lakes Area Music Festival
Reed performs as a guest artist with the Lakes Area Music Festival. Summer Solstice is a celebration of great food and music, featuring a quartet of opera singers performing familiar hits by Mozart, Rossini, Verdi, Bizet, and more. Reed will be performing selections from composers including Verdi, Puccini, Mozart, and Weill.

Rutter’s Gloria in Concert
Reed performs John Rutter’s Gloria with the Wayzata Community Church Chancel Choir during a service. Reed is a featured soloist.
Afternoon Recital
Reed performs in a recital setting with the Chancel Choir section leaders from Wayzata Community Church. Reed’s solo portion of the concert features opera arias in a variety of languages and styles, and as part of the finale she joins the quartet in Brahms’s Liebeslieder Waltzes.
Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition: Iowa District
Reed competes in the Iowa District of the Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition.
Alexis performs at 1:00 pm.
The Cunning Little Vixen
Reed performs in the chorus of the Cunning Little Vixen by Leoš Janáček. This production is part of the Chautauqua Opera Conservatory and is given in collaboration with the Music School Festival Orchestra.
